Happy Almost Canada Day!! Summer is officially here with the weather we’ve been having! Just a quick reminder for our summer session dates…..
- Monday nights – 6:30pm-9pm @ Temple Baptist – OPEN PLAY
- Tuesday nights – 6:30pm-9pm @ Temple Baptist – ADVANCED/INTERMEDIATE(COMP PLAY)
- Thursday nights – 7pm-9pm @ Lawrence St Park – OPEN PLAY **OUTDOOR** – Weather Permitting
Outdoor Sessions:
We still haven’t officially received the approval for a dedicated night at Lawrence Street Park (735 Lawrence St, Cambridge), but we are going to try and run it as best as we can. We will be bringing our portable nets, there are three courts available to use and there is lighting if it gets dark. We do have a supply of outdoor balls to use.
Hopefully, we will hear back from the City this week to ensure we get signage and confirmation that Cambridge Pickleball Club will be using the courts on Thursday evening.
Please let me know if you would be interested in being a dedicated volunteer for nets/balls on Thursday nights as I will not always be able to attend. Please email me at admin@cambridgepickleball.ca
Outdoor Sessions are free – you will see a Outdoor Session box to choose — these sessions are still for members only at this time.
Indoor Sessions:
Currently we have one OPEN PLAY and one ADVANCED/INTERMEDIATE COMPETITIVE PLAY option for our members. This decision was based on consistent member sign up for these sessions and reviewed by the Board.
These sessions will be monitored and if numbers drop off then we will look to changing both sessions to OPEN PLAY, but for now, we will be starting with the 2 different options.
